CAMEO provides and manages a trading process – anyone can participate. It provides the opportunity to buy and sell mercury abated cremations. It provides a Compliance Certificate, meeting the requirements of the Ministerial Direction 2010. It register’s independent trading schemes, providing Compliance Certificates.
CAMEO would like to apologise for the delay in payments to abated participants. The payments to abated participants will be made as soon as possible. All payments to abated participants will be made before 31 December each year.
Timeline of Trading Process

Crematoria will be sent the CAMEO Participation Pack via electronic communication
Invoices issued to non abated
Certification will be sent to those crematoria that are abating or have contributed towards burden sharing (paid their invoice)
February
Crematoria will be sent the CAMEO Participation Pack via electronic communication
Invoices issued to non abated participants
Certification will be sent to those crematoria that are abating or have contributed towards burden sharing (paid their invoice)
March
Crematoria will be sent the CAMEO Participation Pack via electronic communication
Invoices issued to non abated participants
Certification will be sent to those crematoria that are abating or have contributed towards burden sharing (paid their invoice)
Participation requests will close on 31 March – no new applications after this date will be accepted
April
Final payments to be received by CAMEO by 31st April
May
CAMEO will be calculating the value of a tmac
July
Payments to abated participants will commence once all monies have been received
Final accounts issued
Annual General Meeting to be held

Review and setting of Environmental Surcharge for trading

Participation packs for next trading year to be circulated
All money will be paid to abated participants by 31 December
